Al-Germaniyya

Dear Friends,

For over 100 years, Al-Germaniyya has demonstrated the love of God to patients and families from all strata of society. Our goal is to share God’s love to all, especially the least of these, which is why we’re excited to share with you our latest project: developing a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This dedicated unit will allow us to provide specialized care by specialized staff for newborns that are born early, have health problems, or who suffered from a complicated delivery.

The need for this high level of neonatal care has continued to grow in our own facility as well as all throughout Aswan and Upper Egypt, and the needs of this vulnerable population are not being met. Already Al-Germaniyya is staffed with physicians and nurses trained to operate a NICU. We currently have two incubators that are being used as a temporizing measure to care for babies born on campus, however there is growing need for a fully equipped NICU to properly care for these children.  Therefore, we plan to renovate the east wing of the hospital’s 3rd floor to create a six incubator NICU, a neonatal resuscitation room, a family waiting area, and the appropriate nursing and storage areas.

We are grateful to once again be partnering with Southwestern Medical Clinic Foundation (www.SWMCF.org), a Christian medical missions foundation based in southwest Michigan. They have generously offered a matching gift of up to $7,500 to the NICU project. Would you consider helping us complete the remaining $25,000 of the construction budget?

We trust that the Lord will provide the necessary funding so that his love can be extended to these precious babies.  Would you prayerfully consider partnering with Al-Germaniyya to make this dream a reality?
